The top photo portrays a shot of a theatre/club that exists in Bakersfield, California. I wanted to have the image in grayscale to show the viewer that the Nile is an older building and one of the most monumental buildings in downtown Bakersfield, California. The photo below it is a diptych. The left image conveys a large group of plants making up a monsterous face and the photo on the right shows a woman sitting on the bench alone in the dark not knowing what might come next.
