I am the Liaison to Kinesiology (KINS), Recreation Administration (REC), &
Environmental Science (ENVS) programs.
I collaborate with faculty to create online research assignments
At the request of faculty, I have developed extra-credit workshops
and online instructional materials.
Collaborated on Open Eductional Resource LibGuide
to help faculty find relevant, quality teaching resources that are free to use and distribute
I have also worked to improve the library
collection by weeding and ensuring that faculty are informed of the process and
have the opportunity to provide feedback.
Instruction
I created LibGuides for
KINS ,
REC , &
Creating for the Web ,
and collaborated with Katia Karadjova
to update the guides for
ENVS and
Ecological Restoration .
I created various video tutorials and other online content.
I have taught 21 instructional sessions & 13 drop-in workshops.
At the request of Dr. Marchand (REC), I created a
pre-instruction survey
to assess student information literacy.
I also worked with Sarah Fay Philips and
Bruce Tiffee to improve and update the
Begin Your Research online tutorial.
Along with several other librarians, I have been offering drop-in workshops
on a variety of information literacy topics.

Research & Reference
As part of my regular duties, I work at the Research Help Desk
at least nine hours per week.
At the request of Dr. Hopper, I also met one-on-one with Kinesiology graduate students
enrolled in Research Methods (KINS 635).
I actively used the experiences and interactions with these students at the RHD to inform
my classroom instruction lessons and online tutorials.
I have offered several Basic Research workshops which have been recommended by faculty.
