About
I am a senior art student at Humboldt State University, studying photography and graphic design. Although I also dabble in web design, painting, ceramics, and sculpture. I am always happiest when I am creating something, whether it be snapping shots with my Nikon, sculpting with clay, or baking cookies in my kitchen.
My studies in photography began back in 2007 when I took my first darkroom photography class in High School, and I fell in love with every aspect of the art and its process. From that first magical second when your image appears on the paper, to the sound of running water and the blackness of the darkroom that has become so comforting to me. I since have graduated to mostly working with digital media for it's ease and practicality, but I still can't help breaking out my old AE-1 on occasion to re-live the magic of the old days.
Almost by accident, I stumbled across graphic design while trying to fulfill my studio art degree requirements. I fell in love with the order and harmony of the art, and the rest is history.
I have completed Beginning to Advanced classes in both darkroom and digital photography. As well as Beginning and Intermediate Graphic Design, and Intro to Web Design.
