For this project, I chose one of my favorite topics in the world and designed three magazine covers around it. I have been a tea lover throughout my life, so I created a magazine that would be impossible for someone like me to not pick up. A tea-lover and adventurous spirit would have trouble not taking a peek. I created a masthead that would work for a variety of seasons and with a variety of backgrounds. I altered the font of the masthead from an open-source font online, and created something reminiscent of the steam from a cup of tea. The importance of kerning was made abundantly clear throught this project in order to keep the word ‘Steep’ from looking like ‘Fleep’.
