For this project, I designed a brochure for Humboldt State Universities Oceanography Department. This project had three parts; creating the measurements for a functional two sided brochure, rebranding the department, and composing the text within the brochure, based on the departments stated goals and benefits to future students. The goal of this brochure is to draw potential Oceanography students into HSU’s program because our program is the best one for undergraduates.
I learned the line between attention grabbing facts and important information in the process of making this brochure. The presence of an awesome ecosystem, great faculty, and a research vessel are all great facts, but it’s very important to share available Majors, Minors, and what course work will be required.
