IMPORTANT NOTE - HOMEWORK 7 - PROBLEM 7
- HSU's version of Oracle, Oracle 11, doesn't work with PHP's OCI for bind variables of PL/SQL type boolean!
- SO: on Problem 7, when you call is_on_order and pending_order_needed, make those calls arguments of function bool_to_string, so you'll get a string result our HSU setup can handle!
- ... bool_to_string(is_on_order( ... )) ...
- ... bool_to_string(pending_order_needed( ... )) ...
- (you should already have bool_to_string from Homework 3, but, JUST in case: bool_to_string.sql)
NOTE that the printed course syllabus had the WRONG date for Exam 2 -- it should be Wednesday, April 6th, and this has now been corrected in the electronic version below.
- Please correct your paper copy accordingly!
