I grew up in southern California in a town called Redlands. I was a water polo and competitive swimmer all throughout high school. Upon graduating I took a couple years off to do landscaping work with my brother and then decided I wanted to go back to school. I completed my general education studies at Crafton Hills Community College in Yucaipa California. I decided to attend Humboldt State University because I was originally a geology major but before I transferred I discovered the ERE program here at Humboldt State and was really fascinated by it. Seeing how the program exposes students to all of the alternative energy sources I knew that this was the field I wanted to pursue. I am particularly interested in fuel cells and the electronics. In my free time I love to go rock climbing and bouldering (rock climbing without ropes). I also still enjoy swimming and anything outdoor related. Staying active is a huge part of my life and I am always up for trying something new.
My Work Experience
While attending community college I worked many part time jobs. My first job was as a cashier which was way too boring and monotonous for my tastes. Following that I obtained a job at an aquatic center where I was a lifeguard and swim instructor for two years and later an assistant pool facilities manager for the City of Fontana. While working that job I also worked on my campus as a student worker in the counseling office.
