I am studying the inland habitat use of nesting and non-nesting Marbled Murrelets
in northern California. Due to the difficulty of capturing murrelets and locating
nests, relatively little is known about Marbled Murrelet nesting biology and
inland habitat use by non-breeding Marbled Murrelets. I hope to describe daily
movements between land and sea, and temporal use of inland habitats by radio-marked
murrelets. Additionally, I hope to describe and compare inland habitat used
by nesting and non-nesting Marbled Murrelets.
