My name is Murielle Manka and I am twenty years old. I have lived in the Humboldt County area my entire life. I enjoy hiking, biking, backpacking, horesback riding and surfing. I also love to garden and grow a variety of flowers and veggies (in the right season). I got interested in the ERE program because I wanted to get a degree that would help me be able to contribute to finding sustainable solutions to our energy and water issues that currently threaten the environment. I am still deciding on whether to focus my major on energy systems or on water quality and resources. My longterm goal for this major is to gain the knowledge and tools to work overseas in developing countries helping create sustainable infrastructure. I plan on joining the EWB club here on campus to get more information and volunteer experience.
