Description
This map is a cartogram, which shows information in a diagrammatic form or making areas of high production of CO2 seem fat and areas with low production seem skinny. The program used is an extension of Arc Map, so this map started in Arc Map before final touches were added in Adobe Illustrator. While in Arc Map, the data was used to create the effect of fat and skinny areas. The color scheme was also chosen while in Arc Map and was researched online. The amp then received basic map elements and then was transferred to Adobe. In Adobe, the background is created and extra explanatory text is added. All the text is changed to same type, and corresponding colors. This map is an info graph that is trying to make dull data become exciting. This map could be printed as a poster or pamphlet to spread the results to viewers.
