Description
This map is portraying the number of telephone subscribers through density of dots and number of home Internet access through proportional symbols in each region. The process starts out in Arc Map to create the analysis of the data and create a basic color scheme. The map also receives basic map elements before being processed through Adobe Illustrator. In Adobe, the map is transformed to have the correct layout and information being displayed, using the color, type, line, and shape tools. This map is a little abstract to receive the information looking at the map for a few seconds. The viewer needs a moment to process the data. This type of map would look good on a pamphlet or poster to advertise the maps purpose.
