Description
The map shown above is an Arcata California text map. This map was constructed completely in Adobe Illustrator. The tools used in Illustrator ranged from the pen tool, color wheel, text on a line, and layers. This was a time consuming map because everything had to be drawn out and then text added to the lines. Also the choice of type of text and the color scheme was something that required skill and trial and error to make everything work together. Altogether the map is very aesthetically pleasing, this map could not be used to navigate Arcata effectively. This map would be more suited as a picture on a wall or being featured in a magazine to catch the eyes of potential readers.
