This is Laurel's first semester at Humboldt State University and she is very excited to be part of the ERE program. Moving to Arcata from the Bay Area has been a bit of a rough transition in terms of weather, but she will manage. As a sophomore, Laurel is looking forward to becoming involved in the student engineering organizations on campus and furthering her knowledge in the field of renewable energy.
In her free time, Laurel enjoys running in the Arcata Community Forest and rock climbing.
Laurel is still relatively new to the field of engineering and consequently does not have much experience in the field. However, she is proficient in written and spoken French and is currently taking statics, calculus ii, and intro to engineering design.
