Figure1:This map shows the distribution of the western rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus), its subspecies the nrothern Pacific ratlesnake(C.o. oreganus), and my proposed study area for my regional habitat suitability modeling. The western rattlesnake shapefile was obtained from the western rattlesnake webpage on Wikipedia. I used ESRI's ArcGIS 'Clip' tool to create the the northern Pacific rattlesnake shapefile using guidelines from Ashton(2001). I arbitrarily selected my study area to focus on this part of their range.
