Time Magazine

Visual Problem:

To design a magazine as the same layout as Time. The parameters were to create a two page or multipage layout; a cover page with an image and text with a secondary page. The use photography or illustration, the focus was complement the content. The end design is supposed to replicate or stand as alone as a Time magazine piece.

Solution:

When choosing between the two articles provided, I had first read them prior to creating my design and template. This made it easier to figure out and understand what my design would be and how to fully plan for the template of Time magazine. For the image I had illustrated and then scanned and edited it through Photoshop. As I moved onto the layout, which was done through InDesign, I looked through other versions of Time and used a mixture of several of layouts. I chose two pantone colors for the overall design.
