Swiss Posters

Visual Problem:

To design two posters that is similar to Swiss Style. The parameters were to research and analyze the Swiss style and apply it to a poster that would be seen on campus at Humboldt State University. There was permission from the instructor to use the information from the events on campus to apply to the posters. Only two colors were to be used with the posters.

Solution:

Before starting the project, I looked throughout many examples of the Swiss style to gain a good understanding of the design. I wanted to focus on the use of the similar and same shapes within each of the posters. With the simplistic and straight forward design of the Swiss style, I chose to minimize as much difference in each of the posters. I chose a total of three colors excluding white, as the paper was the color.- keywords: Swiss Style, Typography
