Masthead Design

Visual Problem:

To design a masthead for a magazine cover. The parameters were to research and analyze other magazine covers to format and layout around a personal fictional magazine. Typography and format was an important requirement into the design. Through the instructors permission found imagery was appropriate to use for the layout.

Solution:

When starting the project I took to find what I might want to look for in a magazine for my interest. After choosing a topic, I began to research images that would correlate to the topic or name of my magazine. With the found imagery I had to adjust my text to fit and frame the layout though Photoshop. By editing my imagery I was able to frame the text while still maintaining the overall design.- keywords: print, design, typography, masthead, logo
