Movie Poster

Visual Problem:

To design an iconic movie poster for the one of the top films list. The parameters were to have all creative free reign of over design. The through the applications of illustration or photography as well the Photoshop tool was recommended to use in order to complement the design.

Solution:

First by starting with sketches of different iconic scenes throughout the film, I was able to identify which would be best for the poster. I chose to go with an eye crying blood. I then sketched the design with pencil and scanned it in to do edits with Photoshop. With permission from the instructor, I was able to use certain found images to combine with my design. I chose to add in a blood dripping down a wall with my eye design to make it seem as though the eye was crying blood. I then for my final design chose to have a flat background in order to make the eye standout. I looked through three type fonts to find one that would address the overall style and eeriness of the film. The final design was completed through illustrator.- keywords: print, typography,design
