I am originally from Portland, OR, but I lived in London during what would have been my junior and senior years of high school. I earned the English equivalent of two Associates degrees in Music and Musical Theatre at Arts Educational Schools London during this time. Although I love performing, I am passionate about making a positive impact on the environment during my time on the Earth. After completing my program abroad, I returned to Portland where I finished high school one year behind my peers in order to receive my diploma from West Linn High School. I am now pursuing a degree in Environmental Resources Engineering and a double minor of Oceanography and Scientific Diving at Humboldt State University. This step in education will allow me to reach my ultimate goal to mitigate oceanic pollution. I also hope to get my feet wet, so to speak, with the renewable energy source of wave power before the end of my career. Musical Theatre will remain a life-long passion of mine, manifesting itself in community theatre whenever possible. I look forward to experiencing all that Humboldt holds for me in the next 4-5 years.
While living in London, I worked as a voice actor for “Little Bridge”, an English language learning program presented by Little Bridge Inc. from April 2011 – August 2012. My main role was “Rose” an American character and sang the theme song for the 4th level of the program. I have also provided garden, child, and pet care for neighbors since 2006, gaining skills such as responsibility for others, leadership, environmental responsibility, and time management.
