Since I was a child I have always gravitated toward the water. I decided to study fisheries biology at Purdue University and finished my BS in biological sciences in 2012. My undergraduate research was based in the Great Lakes and dealt with fish condition and diets. I am currently an MS student at Humboldt State University in Northern California where I study rockfish (Sebastes spp.) associated with nearshore rocky reefs. I plan to graduate in 2016 and begin a professional career as a fisheries biologist.

In my free time I enjoy many outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, and shooting hoops. I am a huge sports fan and enjoy routing for the Colts, Pacers, Purdue, and routing against anything Indiana University sports team. I care way too much about my fantasy football team. I also enjoy winding down with a movie or television show from time to time.
