Design Problem
Tell a story for an advertisement campaign. Using original or borrowed art and copy create a light-hearted or humorous campaign for Hasbro to keep its board games, such as Clue, in the minds of the consumers. This is to be a 3 piece print campaign that can work on the left or right hand page, tall or wide, for multiple publications and platforms. Create a consistent tagline for the story you are trying to tell.
Design Solution
We decided to use original photographs for our campaign. When we think board games we think family game night so we decided to create our campaign for a family based audience. We took ideas from 3 of the characters in the game Clue, Professor Plum, Ms. Scarlett, and Mrs. Peacock, and portrayed them in more current mischievous acts. The characters in each of the photos are blurred out with the crime still in focus, so you cannot quite tell who the perpetrator is, but there are clues throughout each crime that help you figure out which character it was. Our tagline was Who done it?. This is a very iconic saying for Clue, but is also often used in family households when something mischievous happens.
