Citing of sources.

It is very important that you cite all of your sources in this (and the next) round of speeches.

The speech is being given in an academic setting and you need to avoid plagiarism.
Frequent citing of varied sources enhances your credibility.
Everything that is from external sources should be cited.
When in doubt, cite.

! =	SUPERIOR	You did an excellent job of citing where you got your supporting material which is an important part of speech ethics and enhances your credibility. You were diligent in your avoidance of "incremental plagiarism."
+ =	EFFECTIVE	You did a good job of citing where you got your supporting material which is an important part of speech ethics and enhances your credibility.
+ =	PROBLEMATIC	You should cite where you got your supporting material as you introduce each new fact. Every idea that is not your own must be cited. Citing varied, unbiased sources is essential for credible informative speaking.
– =	DETRIMENTAL	There was hardly any citing of sources which is a serious problem in your speech. Remember, every idea that is not your own must be cited.
Ø=	MISSING	There was virtually no citing of sources which is a serious problem in your speech. Remember, every idea that is not your own must be cited.
BLANKET	BLANKET CITATIONS	You relied on “blanket” citation, such as “all my facts are from...” which is less effective for the assignment. You need to cite as you go along; we easily forget where you got your information when your facts are too far away from your blanket citation.
