– posters, print, design
Swiss posters: For my posters I decided to use the colors green and blue because they are simple colors that are easily identifiable. For the shows I chose the Avett brothers and Brett Dennen. For the Avett brothers I used blue panels that formed a triangle at the top and have all of the show information at the bottom. I felt that this worked for this poster because it gives enough negative space that the show information isnŐt swallowed by the large image. For the Brett Dennen poster I decided to do an all green poster with white panels and make the important parts of the show information in the same white as the panels, I also added another poster that switches the colors so that the rectangles are green. I liked both versions of the poster but the green one is more interesting than the white one.
Fifth element poster:
For my poster I had decided to do ŇThe Fifth ElementÓ. I wanted to focus on the stones, since they are a very important part of the movie but isnŐt seen until the end. I used a similar font to the one the production poster has to give it some familiarity to the poster. Finally I used a found image of a blue galaxy to tie the poster back to its SciFi origin. I also added a glow effect to the stones to give it some definition against the deep blue background.
These posters were made after I had to simply the original poster
