For this we were required to design and type set a Brochure for a department on Humboldt State University Campus. The requirements for this project was to create a working brochure using the grid that was demonstrated during the lesson and to successfully come up with a design for the trifold, while adding the most important information about the department in the brochure For my brochure I chose the Native American Studies department. I chose this department because I felt that it would give me a challenge to design for since it is one of the lesser-known department. For my design I decided to utilize the traditional symbol of the triangle in my design. I wanted to keep the earth tone colors going through out the brochure so I made the inside booklet a deep brown color while having the text surrounded by photos that were found on the Native American Studies webpage. I love my inside design although I went a little crazy with the triangles which makes it a little hard to read. But I enjoyed the fact that it was something different compared to the other brochures and I felt that mines worked for the kind of image I was going for.
