Due 9/2:
Write a brief paper (~2 pages) that gives a definition of a mathematical
model and describes the important components of a model. Your paper
should draw from the material discussed in class and the readings. You
should reference the various readings where appropriate.

Due 9/28:
Find three papers relating to your project and write a summary of each
to form a start of a literature review. The total document should be ~2
pages.

Repeat HW 2 with three new papers.

Proposal/Introduction
Write a proposal for your semester project as a group. The proposal
should provide a summary of previous work, introduce your problem, and
provide a brief description of how you plan to solve the problem. You
will eventually modify this document to become the introduction section
of the final paper. I expect that this document will be approximately 4
pages.

HW 5
Due 11/4:
Model/Methods Section
This section should describe the
model, what assumptions are made, and how the model is derived. It
should not include any mathematical analysis. All of the state variables
and parameters should be clearly defined. This paper should be LaTeXed
and should include the introduction from the last assignment. There is
no strict page minimum here, but the model should be fully explained.
Extra references should be added as needed.
