Below you will find examples of questions I might ask on an exam.

Compare and contrast the formal powers granted the California Governor and the President of the United States.  Which do you think has the most power in his particular jurisdiction?  Justify your conclusion!

Some argue that the progressives' goal of weakening political parties in California has been realized.  Do you think this is the case?  If so, what consequences for the political system have occurred as a result of this "success"?

Wrute an essay in which you briefly describe the most important aspects of California's pphysical, social and economic environment and explain how these factors affect the issues and choices decision makers must deal with and make.
