CD 257


Practicum in the Child Development Laboratory
Be part of the Lab team: work with the children three hours a week and attend seminars. The focus of the course is building relationships and communication skills that foster safety, growth and learning. Students share responsibility for teaching in a play based, emergent curriculum environment.

Prerequisites: Perspectives in Life Span Development or Early Childhood Development or Middle Childhood Development or equivalent study of child growth and development.

Prerequisite coursework may be completed while concurrently enrolled in CD 257.

All students must enroll through the Child Development Office and receive department approval for enrollment. The Office is located in room 206C in Jenkins Hall. If you have questions about enrollment, please contact me.
