Bio and Interests

My name is Brendan Byrd and I have lived in Humboldt County for over 15 years. I live in Fortuna with my fiance and my dog in a house we just remodeled together this summer (without any help from the dog, unfortunately). My favorite activities are hiking, camping and backpacking, and my favorite place to be is the beach. Another interest of mine is cooking, hence the link on the left regarding the solar cooker.

Engineering Interests

The course of study that interests me most in the ERE major is water and wastewater. Professionally my focus is to work more in the scope of civil engineering, but doing so in the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way possible. Another big interest of mine is renewable energy, especially solar and wind power.
